Our staff receive external training in Project Management, regardless of whether they are technical or non-technical, thus instilling confidence and security into our relationships with our clients. We use a number of scheduling tools such as GANTT, CPM and PERT - the tool used depends upon the particular project's needs.
Our Project Management is broken down into 4 distinct implementation stages:
- Project Planning
- Accurately estimating project costs and time dimensions.
- Efficiently integrating and allocating resources.
- Providing for contingencies.
- Monitoring and Control
- Establishing checkpoints and milestones to ensure we stay on track.
- Provision of structured reports.
- Regular project reviews and effective communication of the results of these reviews, both within the company team and to the customer.
- Problem solving
- Use of decision trees customised to each project's unique requirements.
- Use of the principle of "organised disagreement" to search for creative alternatives and solutions, and to handle change where necessary.
- Project sign off and review
- Full debrief with the customer, with particular emphasis on the objectives we both set out to achieve and how we both measured against these objectives.
- Lessons to be learned for future dealings with that customer and with other customers.
